Inspiring figures in Brunei Darussalam

So I was wondering if there were anyone that is worth mentioning who've contributed significantly and impacted Brunei in positive ways. I hate to sound so negative, but if there was any, the situation in Brunei could have been better now but thats just my opinion. Nevertheless, I dont think all the money the government spent on human resource development have not produced anyone that is worth mentioning. So please share the stories of inspiring people in Brunei Darussalam especially those in the past if there is any. Tell us their background and their contributions.

I am not disregarding the collective efforts of everyone who've work hard day in day out to make sure things are running and in order. These are also important. My intention is to highlight the contributions with big impacts, the people behind them, for us to appreciate and hopefully inspire us to be better too.
