in the "match between" Red and Brooke just about killed me. Byron going on about Inception and Corey realizing he's a figment of Red's memory and, therefore, has to cheer for her. This game has a lot of problems but the career mode is making me smile.

MyCareer this year is just a big blast of fan service, and I don’t mean that as a complaint. There’s a lot of subtle (and not so subtle) references to iconic storylines, it’s a lot of fun.
One of my favorites jokes so far (outside of the 2K19 references) has to be when you get a text from Buzz saying it’s odd how you two are always on different brands. Really makes it feel more real to me personally with the idea that the 2K19 and 20 stories are happening at the same time.
The MyCareer commentary is solid. There's a good line about a certain sleazy former tag team partner of someone you wrestle as Red.
Tre is also an endearing goofball, but with a good heart. Reading his text messages show that he pays back his family for money used.
Yet ignores the family that took.him in and raided him the took their money to train with out telling them, then proceeds to ignore them for years after they pull him up on it guy is a dick
Or in "Mycareer" mode of 2k19 when the Miz is critisizing Buzz when he made a title and Sasha dressed as Maryse to mock Miz.
He said something among the lines of: "Creating your own title ? What do you think this is ? WWE 2K18 or something ?"
I think the biggest chuckle watching the nL MyCareer playthrough was the text from "President Johnson" fairly early on
Self-aware jokes in the video games is always great. 2k18 was when corey said “seth looks like he could be on the cover of a video game” and “someone should create women’s tag team titles.”
remember MyPlayer 2k19 when >!Buzz presented his own title (which you had to create), and then The Miz comes in and in all seriousness drops this bomb:!<
I never got that far in that MyCareer but it’s nice to know these things
The fact that on Red and Tre's list it says "be in a WWE video game" makes me chuckle
