PC version gimped: no split-screen or Atmos!

Discussion

Absolutely ridiculous these features were removed from the PC version.

Why would you spend so much time adding RTX but remove features that could have been ported over from the console version?

Why even add game pad support if you didn't want to add split screen? 0 logic.

And why bother adding atmos for xpost but not porting it over to the PC? It's the same fricking API holy hell.

Isn't there an Atmos app for PC you can use?

App doesn't do anything but enable Atmos for you if you're using a soundbar or a home theater. The headphone app only simulates atmos which isn't the same thing IMO.

Oh I thought you had to use the app for the soundbar etc too

It's exactly the same thing. All atmos does is simulate a 7.1 setup. That's why it only takes an apo to enable it. You're thinking of Windows Sonic which is badically a half assed copy of Atmos.

No, the home theater ATMOS is different. It does NOT simulate it. The only reason you need an app is for licensing.

That's home theater. All dolby atmos headphones are the same. Whether it's built into the game or you're using the app or its coded into the headset. The PC version probably doesn't have it as an option because the entire platform supports it. The game is still built for Dolby Atmos. The only difference is PC has to pay for it.

For dts its more like a persistant buzzing, like every sound got swapped for buzzing
