Quest constantly disconnects from internet

Are you guys experiencing this too? My quest will just stop right in the middle of a youtube video. I'll back out and the store doesn't load and nothing from the internet is coming up. I need to go into the wifi settings (which say it's connected), disconnect, then reconnect in order to get back on the internet. This happens ALL THE TIME. I've upgraded the firmware, tried different networks. but the problem persists. Any ideas?

Hello there, does your wireless router use both the 5GHz and 2.4 GHz bands under the same wireless network name? There can be issues with wireless networks that automatically switch between the two. In some cases, people have been able to get a more stable connection on a network that uses only one band. It's something we're still actively investigating. Please feel free to contact support at https://support.oculus.com. Thanks!

I've submitted a trouble ticket for this exact reason a couple times. I wish support would respond that it's a known issue that's actively being looked into rather than copy pasting the generic response to disconnect, reconnect, factory reset. Mine works by using Android phone to route WiFi, however wife has Apple garbage and can't do the same without spending more money.

I've had the exact same issue and read up on all the comments about combined 2.4 and 5 GHz naming. I have tried renaming the 2.4 GHz band, and even disabling the 2.4 GHz broadcast all together and I am STILL having the Quest drop wifi constantly. Apparently Oculus is aware of the problem and working on it but in the meantime it is so frustrating.

Same here. It's a bit of a pain in the ass

I guess this means 10.0 doesn’t fix this?

As support has answered ... Your router combines both 2.4 and 5ghz WiFi bands into one ssid. The router is swapping your quests connection automatically between those 2 bands as and when it wants too which is causing your WiFi issues.

Use your router settings split the 2.4 and 5 GHz bands so they have their own individual SSID .. connect your quest to one of them and it will remain connected

Using my phone as a WiFi Hotspot did the trick. Had issues with switching between 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz aswell.

Only use 5G if your close to your router if your at the other end of your house use 2.4 . More stable and should stream YouTube with no problems . Then check YouTube settings and put quality on auto. I stream YouTube with 2.4 and get video quality HD my internet is too slow to stream at 2k.
