This is actually huge news. KH4 in dev next year?
Edit: I know it’s not literally KH4, because Nomura said there’d be another game. Seeing as we don’t have a title, I just meant the next non-browser game, whatever it’s called.

It could also be a spinoff. There are no more non-HD consoles (portable or home) so all KH game development will be HD development.

Nomura already said there's an in between game; just one, before Kingdom Hearts IV, so no.

What's left to scale up? Nearly every title has had a current-gen release. Coded and Days, I guess?

HD development doesn't mean ports, all development nowadays is HD development and if you look at most hiring profiles for next gen game dev, they use similar wording. It's just an HD KH game, whether a port of a new title altogether.
The UI designer position gives it away that it's probably a new title.

Though I could be wrong, I kind of interpreted this news as movement towards the KH3 dlc first then new game second. I am not too well versed in game development though so it may be possible that i am wrong.

That might be the case, I was personally leaning towards it meaning a PC port was coming.

Why would they hire a UI designer among other things when KH3 DLC is nearly finished?

I mean i was thinking it would have been for the new playable characters for re:mind. Have we got confirmation on how far a long that is going? They might also do more character swapping for the next dlcs too.

Portable KHII has been a dream of mine since they released Final Fantasy X on Vita.
Remote play is pretty nice..... when it works.
