This was just the salve I needed at the end of a long week. Unless I'm mistaken, this was the first time we get the hint that there's a real command-and-control system within the previous monolith of them. Now it's not just "look at the moon," it's look at "HIS THRONE."
So far the other seemed animalistic, demonic even, but you get strong indications here that there's a coordinated, thinking underpinning to the unthinkable horror in the cosmos. And that's assuming they weren't behind the Contingency video in the first place. So much to chew on...I want more!

There is WAY too much focus on this sub about the "lore" of this series, when what's seriously impressive is the effectiveness of the technical execution. Sincerely never seen anything this creepy as a web series.

The disjointed narrative is just perfectly executed imo. Each part has had some similarities in terms of the overall theme, but each part has also been distinctive and unique. "You Are On The Fastest Available Route" is both the funniest and terrifying video of the lot.

Honestly I can't believe these are all supposed to be some kind of continuity that needs to fit together coherently. The videos 'rhyme', but they don't make up a song.

How about just... letting people have their own theories and leave it at that? If people want to think that there's connectivity between these, more power to them. No reason to disregard their opinions just because you don't agree with them.

Dang, this one was creepy and good! That "HIS THRONE" and "REJOICE" really gave me vibes of "PRAISE HIM" from Doctor Who.

also, dont get me wrong, i loved all the previous local 58 videos, this one just feels meh.

I sorta agree. Like, as soon as I saw the video title, I could tell what was gonna happen. The moon’s gonna come along and it’s gonna raise hell and everything goes spooky. The thing about th other videos is that I really didn’t know where they were gonna go, and thus was surprised when everything took a turn.
Not saying this isn’t a solid video, but it was just kinda predictable.

You make a good point. The way I see it there's two ways this series can go; either they stay relatively small and focus on disconnected/loosely connected paranormal stories of the modern era or they try to build an deep & disturbing lore that can connect all these videos. IMO the latter could be a lot of fun to build upon, but it's a lot more ambitious and won't be easy to pull off well.

Yea i think that this video is just the set up for a big ol spook in another one. Its kinda just telling you some stuff and giving its version of background and less about creeping you out.

Did anyone else notice there was a sort of ring around the moon from 1:15 to 1:26? It might have been unintentional, but I thought it kind of looked a bit like an eye, like it symbolises the fact that something on the moon is watching us.

And another, maybe slightly less important thing; You can briefly see it says the video comes from 1994. The video was probably after Real Sleep but before Weather Service.

If you look closely you can see that stuff flowing into a crater later in the video.

Looks like a typical moon halo to me. I don't think it has any symbolic significance. What is interesting however, is that it suddenly went from a crystal clear night sky to a somewhat cloudy sky in that first cut to the moon.

At about 3:30 when the moon is revealed and all huge the screams sound a lot like the ones from Weather Service. Also another thing I noticed was "HE found me through the mirror." and "Not light but blood." Maybe that wispy stuff coming off the moon is the blood of some Eldritch Horror?

Am I one of the only ones to be unnerved by the dust moving at 2:40? because the moon has no atmosphere it has no wind, it's why the astronauts footprints should still be on the moon to this day if no space debris hit near that area
