.12 Patch Optical devices

Discussion

I want to start this by saying i think the 2x and 3x(-10x) Optics make a huge difference in how many people can engage in combat.

We were previously stuck to 1X and 2.5X (awful reticle sadly) and prior to that 1X-4X. I think the range between 1X and 4X needs to be massively fleshed out. Id love to have more 2X 2.5X 3.5X 1.5X optics.

I'm indifferent. I prefer a 4x and a offset red dot but maybe that's just me. I don't feel like I need any zoom for the shorter ranges.

Variety can't hurt though.

I used to roll with the elcan 1x/4x but I always thought there is a certain awkwardness when neither 4x or 1x feel good to engage. I definitely feel you though. I feel right at home out to 200m with 2x I have yet to find something more fitting for beyond. I'd love a 2x/4x

I also seem to have less glitches with a fixed zoom.

I always felt the same way.

Found the Monstrum 2x32 in raid and took it for a spin in offline. It felt so good to use in medium range.

I’d honestly settle for fixing variable optic sensitivity.

About BUS... The fastest should be the optics with a backup red dot mounted on top of it, like the ACOG with the RMR. I had one of those in the army and (IMO) its the fastest backup transition available. That canted backup sight.... I’d be in favor of it having an ergo hit/heavy sway when in use. When you’re wearing armor and cant your rifle like that, it wants to slide off your shoulder while firing. It’s unstable with armor on, which is why it’s stuck in YouTube purgatory and isn’t in heavy use among tactical types.

What does sensitivity have to Do with magnification though. Its a different topic all together. Yes the sens needs sliders per magnification but we also need more medium magnification optics
