Can't /gquit... Is there another way?

I purchased a faction change yesterday and discovered that you must first leave any guild you're in before performing the switch. Well, in game, the /gquit command doesn't work. I assume it's bugged. Anyone know of a work around? I've opened a ticket but it's been over 24 hours now...

EDIT: My guild has been defunct for quite some time now and the guild leader closed her account several months ago, demoting everyone to protect the guild bank in case she comes back to play someday.
