Gold bug / conspiracy theorist at work is driving me nuts. How would you respond?

He sends me stuff like this all the time:

I'm not naive I realize that our economy is in trouble but I'm not quite to the point of buying guns and coins. I do own GLD which is a gold etf which he says isn't real gold and I have a 401k which he says the government will seize. How would you respond to these claims? To me it seems like fear mongering and exaggeration.
