My wife was on the LIRR which was stopped at Hicksville due to a bunch of asshole fans harassing a black woman and terrorizing the entire car. They spewed obscenities and racial slurs, which is never right. Cops were called, people were pulled off at Hicksville, and train is still stuck on the platform. Don't be like this.

There were 2 drunk fans on the train home from the Sens game Tuesday, decide to start screaming lets go islanders half way home for NO REASON. no one else was feeling it, a few women on their way home asked them to stop. they proceeded to scream it even louder and call them white trash, the girl even bragging about how her daddy has season tickets.
Cant stand fans like that, enjoy the win, but understand were not at the barclays, and people are trying to get home from work on a tuesday night.

I would argue you have a shit mentality then as well. How could you possibly generalize all islanders fans based on the idiotic actions of a few? Keep in mind this is a third-party account of what happened. Racism should never be tolerated. But there are also two sides to every story, and I’d like to know what happened from the start.
That said... What good is coming out of it by posting here? I’m really not trying to be a dick, I apologize if it came off that way. I’m obviously not going to let a small batch of idiots represent an entire fan base, which is sort of what people are implying. It’s also safe to say the reddit community is generally very respectful and positive, unlike what I’ve seen on Facebook and Twitter. So maybe this is the right audience but maybe it isn’t.
I guess my main point is, we all know that they’re not representative of the rest of the fan base. Posting about it on reddit without any plan of action or intent other than complaining wont get anything accomplished. What was the end result? Authorities were called and hopefully arrests were made or summons issued. I doubt anyone on here would have sought out these people to take action.
It really pisses me off to hear what happened. But I’d like to hear a first hand account of the story and what was ultimately done to address the problem, not just a story that seems to loop the rest of us peaceful fans into it. Maybe I should have been more clear on my initial response and I apologize for that.
