Tried recovering to factory, now my boot device doesnt exist
Unfortunately cant get my exact model and specs since the laptop is a brick now
Alright, so I've essentially bricked my laptop I guess. I have an HP Omen and it's been running pretty poorly, so I wanted to restore it to factory and start over with it. I made a few attempts, but I kept getting the "Windows cannot restore, no changes were made" error
I did a few fixes like running SFC scan and DISM as admin, but nothing worked. However now whenever my system comes on, my boot device isnt found and I need to install an OS on my drive. Only problem is windows 10 came pre installed on the laptop - restoring it to factory shouldn't have wiped the OS, and even if it did, the restore process failed and supposedly no changes were made. How screwed am I and is there a fix?
