Good decision, he did not handle the situation well.
Completely understandable decision.
When RJ Hampton, an 18 year old at the start of his professional career, handled himself better than Matt Walsh over Hampton's ejection, you know there's issues.
If only there was something that could be done like when the NBA got rid of Donald Sterling...
Ahh that does a good job of explaining it. Didn't know Rice was such loose cannon.
Deserved a suspension when he allowed a retired number to be used on court.
What number was that? And who is this guy? In a nutshell, if you can?
Number was 23. Retired because of CJ Bruton - a legend of not only the Breakers but of the league generally.
Matt Walsh bought the Breakers with a group of more silent partners toward the end of the 2017/18 season. Since then, he's taken what was a family and community based club, and turned the vast majority of people who supported the Breakers through thick and thin against the team. It's not the same team any more.
A brilliant example is when they took on Glen Rice. Dillon Boucher, another Breakers legend who left the club just before the season started in what seemed far too sudden to not be another move by Walsh to push the team away from it's base, has made it clear that while he was at the team, he wouldn't have allowed for Rice to join the team because it's completely foreign to what the team stands (or at least stood) for.
Not sure if it's the same thing but apparently the airline lost some luggage and jerseys had to be reused. Sounded ridiculous. Try googling it
Why even have a jersey with a retired number on it to begin with?
Perth Glory had a similar situation happen recently and they lost all their jerseys. They still managed to iron on numbers, sponsors etc onto their training jerseys so they looked half decent.
Yep, that was my first thought. Why?! I mean it takes 30s to iron on numbers/names. They could almost have blank spare jerseys in each state.
