Bit of a dumb question, but is this job a red flag in itself?
So I've managed to find a part time UX/UI job and applied a few hours ago (the employer responded pretty quick and now I have an interview with them in 2 weeks, although they were planning on interviewing me literally tomorrow). It's about an hour away from where I live (using public transport).
I feel like the job itself seems too good to be true. They didn't ask for a CV or a covering letter at all; I just had to fill out a form with my basic information (my name, email address, why I wanted the job and any relevant experience I had). Their job description is literally just: We are looking for a part time UI/UX designer to develop professional looking, intuitive user interfaces for our software applications. This wold ideally suit a student with an interest in and experience of UI/UX design.
That's it. That's the whole job description. Although the pay isn't mentioned in the job description itself, it's on the same page (if you get what I mean) and the rate is £10/hr (basically 2.5x the amount I got paid at my last job). The hours aren't mentioned, so I'm assuming it's flexible based on my availability. I also had a quick look at their social media presence and it doesn't look up to scratch at all (this was also the case at my previous job, and it was supposed to be my job to improve their online presence), and as far as I know, only about 5 people work there (tried finding them on LinkedIn and the 2 people who'll be interviewing me don't even have profile pictures; the company's pages don't even have profile pictures either).
I shouldn't have even applied to the job to begin with, but as the broke university student that I am, I've applied to whatever I can just to try and make ends meet.
