Moving to the Bay Area and have a question

I just accepted a job in the Pittsburg Bay/Antioch area and need to figure out where to live. I'd like to live somewhere relatively close to Antioch that isn't really expensive but has some activity. I'm flying out next weekend to find a place and take care of paperwork so any advice would be greatly appreciated.
