Guys, you're depressing me. Tell me something GOOD that happened to you today

I go to school in California. I am very bummed that 19 got shot down faster than a damn tie fighter, but it's not the end of the world. Trees is supposed to still be "the most peaceful place on the internet". It is still supposed to be a community of upbeat, happy, mellow people. We may have lost, but we put up one hell of a fight, and we'll be back in two years. For now, keep your head held high dudes, and your mind even higher.

Now to get away from all those bad vibes, share with us one good thing that's happened to you. I suppose I shall start.

I'm a sophomore in college, and to be honest, I've had a pretty rough start to the semester. Getting dumped by my first girlfriend via facebook after a 2 year relationship, getting rejected from a fraternity and a comedy improv group, and struggling in school, I was starting to feel totally worthless. My friends, god bless my friends, were awesomely supportive during this whole process, and things started to improve a bit, but I was definitely running on empty.

Fast forward to today. A friend of mine approaches me in the starbucks right off of campus, and hands me a letter that's addressed to me; apparently the mail center had left it in their mailbox not me. I realized instantly what it was: My Rejection from the film school. I had been hoping for years to get into this colleges film school, and this was my last shot. With a heavy heart I slid my finger across the opening and opened the sheet of paper. My heart leapt in my throat when I saw the first word on the page. "CONGRATULATIONS!" I think everyone was staring at me in Starbucks as I leapt up and down whooping in happiness. I. gave. No. fucks. I was the newest admit to arguably the most prestigious film school in the entire country.

Tl;DR: Got into film school after a really shitty start to school.

Whatabout you dudes? Today wasn't ALL bad, right?
