Reddit's secret Santa program - if a person enrolls in this, they lose their anonyminity on Reddit - true?

Hi, first I apologize, this is probably buried somewhere in the links on the secret santa program.

I just wanted to be clear: if a person participates in this program, essentially they tell others who they are IRL, and if a redditor values being anonymous, then this is given up.

Do I understand this?

thanks
