For those who ask why God would allow children and innocent people to die...
And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, "You may surely eat of every tree of the garden, but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die." (Gen 2:16-17)
Before this, there was never even a mention of death. There's no reason to single out "good" people and small children as victims of God. He takes responsibility for every death, no matter the age, circumstances, cause, or social-economic situation. His vindication for doing this is in Genesis 3.
I'm a Christian and it might seem to you like I'm trying to portray God as a bad guy. I'm not. He's fair in doing this. I just don't feel the need to save God from His own "bad press" He gives Himself.
