so honestly, what are your opinions on this recent election?
the republicans have the house and picked up a considerable about of governorships, democrats maintain control in the senate. more importantly, many incumbents were voted out around the board. this shows that the american voters are sick of both parties shit.
i for one am excited about this. im fairly politically conservative, and socially liberaly(weird, right?) but i definitely recognize that the republicans and democrats both were equally corrupt and self serving. but now, and i may be wrong, i feel like we actually stand to make some ground, as that any legislation that goes through is going to have to be truly bipartisan, and will more accurately reflect the will of the vast majority of americans.
god i hope republicans dont fuck it up, and i also hope the democrats recognize what went wrong for them so that they can fix it. the only way for this government to work is for both parties to make concessions to each other, and be willing to work towards whats in the best interest of the people as a whole, not just the fringe groups with money.
