Good job, Iowa, really[/sarcasm]
Excellent job, Iowa, you fired three supreme court judges. The vote Tuesday included votes for retention of three judges who recently legalized gay marriage. Clearly, this is a wonderful accomplishment. Let's look at what this means for the future: Gay marriage will not be repealed, judges are now have massive disincentive for even applying since they can now be fired for doing their job, and future judges will now need to consider what is popular before the proper interpretation of the law.
This is an amazing step backward. The 'No Activist Judges' campaign was a spiteful move that accomplished nothing. The judicial system will always have unpopular rulings, and there are proper channels to use to rectify mistakes if indeed a mistake had been made. This was not the way. So good job, Iowa, you dealt a massive blow to the judicial system that will have negative repercussions far into the future. That's... well... That's just awesome.
