Where's a good place to drink before 5?

My friend and I are having a crap week and want to go have whiskey over our lunch break. Seems like all the good bars open at 5, so we might be down to restaurants and crap like that. Any good dive-bar-style suggestions? I'd just as soon not have my whiskey at Chili's, thank you.
