Life changing decision - Moving from Europe to Bay Area, need advice !

Dear US redditors, I am 25 and I would like to move to Bay Area.

I am a 25yo male, french, I've been working in IT for 2 years now, I have a CS MSc. I started looking for job offers and the related visa issues. I'm also seeing with my friends who might be able help me (american friends and expats).

It looks like craigslist has a lot of job offers, I don't know if applications from abroad are considered.

Any useful tips? Any redditor with a similar experience? Know of any company hiring python developers with a funny accent?

tl;dr: 25yo french guy looking for advice on how to cross the atlantic and live in the San Francisco area.
