Now that you're a skilled gamer, those classic games that used to be so difficult are easier now, right?

Every several years, I get the urge to play some old NES games. I throw in Mega Man 3 or some other nostalgic game, thinking that now that I've had decades of gaming experience under my belt, an old game like that should be no problem. Then, when I destroy my controller in frustration, I lock it away for another four or five years when the lesson has been forgotten.
