Rochester Lego fans I need your help...

I originally posted this in r/Lego but someone suggested I try here too.

So I know this is a long shot but here it goes... I am a children/teen librarian at a small urban public library. We want to start a Lego Club so kids can come to the library, build awesome stuff, and hang out with other kids who share their love of Lego. However, we have no money to purchase any and my mom gave away my huge collection long ago (I'm not mad, she was just spreading the Lego love). We put out a newsletter asking for donations but haven't gotten any response. I know reddit is full of Lego lovers and if every redditor sent us just one piece from their personal collection we'd have enough for tons of kids to participate. We would keep the Lego collection at the library, not give them away, and I'm hoping to have the Lego Club meet at least once a month. While it's not much proof that this is legit, here is a link to the library system I work for: my library

TLDR: I'm shamelessly begging for free Lego pieces (but it's for a good cause!)

EDIT: A big thank you to all who have helped with this! CodyRo actually came to my library and donated money towards Lego!
And Stumblin_McBumblin will donate his own collection from his childhood! Proof that Rochester and Reddit are pretty awesome.
