Has anyone been to Costa Rica for vacation? A few pointers would be appreciated - there are so many tourism sites out there.

I tried r/tourism, but it's a bit lacking so I came here. My friend and I would like to try something in January, probably an Eco-tour. Has anyone ever done this? Which agencies should we check out? What should we avoid? Thanks in advance!
