I feel that reddit #politics is completely detached from what is going on the country. Here are my thoughts.

Most of us older or normal Americans already know this, but I feel that #politics is so far from normal in terms of political discussion. I wish it could be better. And it can be.

I like #economics but it is mostly economics and the occasional political discussion. #ronpaul is good, if you are interested in ronpaul.

Why am I am posting? Well, the Republicans cleaned up in the House, yet on reddit, Republicans are the devil. Clearly, Republicans aren't the devil. There are two major parties in the US and for American voters, half tend to vote Republican and half Democrat. There are slight differences like during the mid-term election. But overall, America is split.

It would be interesting if we could have links and discussion on reddit without the attacks on Republicans and Democrats but more about policy and bills that are being passed. Not so much about Glenn Beck, and Bill O'Reilly.
