Chemistry online and while texting but flat in person - Has anyone ever salvaged a relationship from this situation? Is it possible?
This probably does sound like a silly question. I'm on Match.com. Largely, it seems unhelpful as most women just sound the same. But, recently I was matched with a girl who I hit it off with over emails. We made each other laugh we went back and fourth and there seemed to be real chemistry. We planned to meet and exchanged numbers. We start texting each other back and forth. The texts were great; we're both obviously excited. We meet and go to dinner and it's just...flat. We did laugh but I asked for the check after an hour and a half.
I'm frustrated over this experience because it's bizarre. We really clicked over email and text, and on paper she's fine/perfect: she's smart, she has a good sense of humor, kind and she's attractive.
Has anyone ever salvaged a situation like this and turned it into a relationship? Is it even possible? I feel like she was on the same page as me in terms of ending the date. I'm wondering if I should try for date two. Half of me doesn't want to but the other half is just like "wtf". I woke up this morning and I'm suprised that I'm still bothered by this.
