We saw yesterday what years of misinformation do to the public.

Let me be the pessimistic in the room. "Old" people, starting even from people aged 30, half of them do not want it legalized. That's fucked up and something to think about.

People who were 20 ten years ago, in fucking 2000, do not want it legalize. This is not a generational divide, this is how moronic people are and how effective brainwashing is. They were indoctrinated from a young age into believing available marijuana would mean the end of the world as we know it (in a bad way).

Legalization via ballot will never happen and it does not have to depend on a ballot. Why the fuck something that is less harmful than everything else already available be submitted to public approval? Especially when the public has been brainwashed since little kids?

We cannot wait until they die, so we can legalize it. Their life expectancy will be very high, probably over a 100 years of age, plus I don't feel like waiting until I am 80 to see legalized. Even worse, I might be dead before.

I'm sorry but illegalization of marijuana (the one that happened many years ago), was not done through voting and it's hypocritical to submit it to a ballot. It is like a big fucking game where the status quo did such a great job demonizing it that they now feel it doesn't harm them to play with the illusion of a ballot.

After all, what proposition 19 did was "it doesn't matter what science says, do you people want to have it legal?" Because if it did matter, we wouldn't need a ballot, we would just acknowledge that having it illegal is wrong and change it immediately, without consulting every fucking moron on the state.
