Dear Liberals, I apologize for my state of Oklahoma...

We just overwhelmingly rejected raising educational spending, denied our courts the ability to consult international law, and elected a governor who believes God gave us the right to bear arms.

Now the truly sad thing is, Oklahoma has more registered Democrats than Republicans, by a decent margin. We just don't vote, apparently, or vote for Republicans.

Now the question is, can we not reverse Oklahoma's recent descent into the role of one of the most conservative states in the country? It can be done; the democratic party can be invigorated, our name can be reclaimed and the course of our state can be redirected.

We can save ourselves from ourselves.

So what is ask for is this: activism, ideas, hope, and hard work. I think - I truly think - that with hard work and creativity, we can turn ourselves blue on the 2012 electoral map.
