Discouraging and disappointing when people don't notice.

Yah, I know I'm supposed to be doing this for my health and my own sanity and to be better to myself, but I just got back from Florida to visit family I haven't seen in over a year, and have dropped 15-20 pounds since then. When I was there, I saw a picture of myself before dropping the weight and one that'd been taken while on the trip at a theater-dinner. The difference was very, very clearly noticable, but the only one who said anything was my bed-ridden cancerous aunt.

I'll be honest, I'm the type of person who likes to be acknowledged for my accomplishments. I am a bit vain this way, but it's also encouragement to let me know my work is paying off. after all, it's difficult to see the results when you look at yourself in the mirror every day.

Started the day with a run and a protein shake, so I'm not going to fall off the wagon or anything, I'm just a little sad about the outcome.
