I need some help.

A little back story; I'm 20, as is my boyfriend, and we've been in an LDR for about a year. He's been to visit me before, but due to health problems I've been dealing with I haven't been able to go visit him and his family. He's coming up for an early Christmas and is going to exchange gifts with my family. I won't be able to go to visit his family until the Spring, so I want to send something home with him for his family for Christmas.

My problem is this: Having never met his family, what the bloody hell do I get them for Christmas!? Do I get them anything? I feel like it would be crappy of me to get them nothing since they know he's buying my family presents, but I don't know what to get them, and the boyfriend hasn't been overly helpful on this front.
