iTunes Magnetosphere Visualizer. Can you "control" it with your mind?
A friend of mine who may or may not be slightly crazy has told me on multiple occasions that he/I/anyone can control this visualizer with their mind.
He says it operates better on CRT monitors due to the large magnets required to aim the electrons, and that it uses the magnetic response from analogue signals in speakers to affect the response on the screen.
I keep telling him that it's all math and that he's crazy, and that there are no sensors and no way for the two things to communicate with each other. He then switched to telling me that the computer itself produces EM radiation (duh) and that IT is what's manipulating the visuals... I suppose that's correct because the computer operates through voltage gates and stuff, but that's nothing the program isn't telling the visualizer to do.
He told me to "go read about it" and so I tried. But after Google searching for the past 30 minutes have been unable to find anything of any value. I come to you now, Reddit, and ask you; Is my friend crazy, or is there ANY shred of validity to his opinions?
