Reddit: When getting on/off of an elevator; who has the right of way?

I always thought the person getting off would be. However, I am constantly met with confrontation from the people getting on trying to push their way in the same time I’m trying to get off. So perhaps I’m wrong. On the other hand, perhaps most people are just asshats.
