External tuner for Monitor?

I am looking for an inexpensive external tuner for a 37" monitor that I have. Currently I am running an TV-tuner in a linux box that is serving it purpose but by no means does it provide an "enjoyable" TV viewing experience with lack of remote etc. I used wireless keyboard and mouse for a while but again not the best experience. Does anyone use an inexpensive external tuner? I only have analogue cable and up in the great white north I think I have another year or two before it goes all digital. Digital/Analogue tuner recommendations appreciated.. Bonus points if I can get it in or shipped to Canada cheap.TIA
