ST: VOY 'Night'

So I'm watching VOY for the first time (well, I think I might have watched the first couple of seasons when I was a kid but that doesn't really count) and I just got to season five and I thought the concept for the first episode 'Night' was awesome. It's such a shame it was just one single episode where, as usual, everything goes back to normal by the end! The writers could have explored the idea of the ship in the middle of the void for so much longer and it would've been great! I know this complaint is nothing new but I was just really disappointed.

tl:dr The first episode of the fifth season was a great idea. Shame it only lasted 44 minutes.
