Reddit Relay

Would you guys be interested in doing a reddit relay? We could have an object (perhaps someone could create a stuffed reddit alien) that is passed on from reddit user to reddit user. Each time a handoff is done, users post pictures of the handoff. They then keep the object for a week or so (taking it places and taking pictures with it) before giving it to the next person.

I've done this before (SA Pig Relay 2008, SA Pig Relay 2009 and here's a map showing the route both relays took) and you end up with some awesome pictures/stories.

I've set up /r/relay for those interested in being involved. The last 2 relays I did I only had ~30-40 riders and we managed to get an object from coast to coast (in fact I have said object with me right now ready to be photographed with the Space Shuttle when it launches). We also managed to only have to fly the object 2 times for the entire relay.. every other time, the handoff occurred on a motorcycle. Seeing as how we don't have any restrictions here and much more members, I think this should be a lot easier.

If there's interest, I can start organizing it and we can shoot for a January/2011 launch.
