Third-Party battery recommendations?

Long story short: My battery died after 140 cycles 6 mo. out of warranty and Apple told me to get bent.

Does anybody here have any experience with third-party batteries? Apple's are almost $130 and appear to be crap (even judging by their ratings on Apple.com), so I'm mostly unwilling to buy one of theirs again. If I can spend half as much for the same or better quality, that's certainly my first choice.

Any advice?
