Is there any way that we can out corrupt political officials for taking kickbacks and other forms of bribery?

I've seen from a lot of articles and peoples posts that there is much corruption in the US government and I was wondering if anyone knew how average people could fight it?

This is most likely the cause of politicians petty fighting for power when real issues should be addressed. I know that this issue should normally be taken care of by the voters but that evidently does not work. The news is so full of false and/or misleading information that many people blindly follow leading terrible and corrupt politicians back into office.

I would appreciate it if anyone would post some good ideas because I want to start getting involved by helping to get rid of corrupt politicians and inefficiencies in the government to get our country back on the right track.
