New guy needs guidance...

So I haven't been on reddit all that long but I have been here long enough to know this is an amazing community with people who go above and beyond. When I filled out my suggestions on my registration I had trouble with it. What should I put in that box? Should I tell my Santa about myself and not just things I like? I was trying to think of broad categories that would allow for cheap gifts (I'm fully expecting nothing more expensive than $15 shipping included).
