This has never been a popular question in the past, but here goes: What will the "next reddit" be like? Does it exist already?

So what I'm looking for is something almost like reddit, with the community and the upvoting and the downvoting, but with differences: People would be strongly held to account on factual statements they make and would be rewarded for carefully researching something before posting it.

It would be good if the next platform made it easier for people to get into arrangements with each other to fund short-lived, not for profit ventures, like paying someone a living wage for a couple of months to research some subject enough people care about.

At the minute, a lot of reddit is a race to see who can post the most emotionally appealing thing and I'm looking for something more likely to further the sum total of mankind's knowledge. Sort of reddit meets wikipedia.

Please do not post the following:

• "GTFO if you don't like it"
• "www.zombo.com / www.lemonparty.org might be more to your liking, sounds like what you are looking for"
• "Go to the subreddits, unsubscribe from the main page..."
• "webtoid"
• "4chan"
