Can anyone tell me if this 3GS is salvageable?

Hi all, I posted this on another forum but realized Reddit is usually so much more helpful. My experience with hardware modding is only replacing the lcd/glass on my 3G. A roommate recently gave me this 3GS and told me if I could get it working, I can keep it. I was able to turn it on, but only for a minute.

I guess my question is, are there any wires that are not there that should be? Is there anything else missing? Etc..

Also, if a part is missing, am I able to swap said part with the one from my 3g? I really appreciate the help guys, here are two pics. I can take more if necessary.
