HAE noticed everything being downvoted lately?

At first I thought I kept stumbling onto those black-hole type threads where people just say rude shit to each other and then have a downvote war, so I just kept browsing. But for the last week or so it seems like entire threads of comments are sitting at 0 and -1.

I've heard some apocryphal mention of "bots" that are distributing mass downvotes to promote specific comments, but there doesn't seem to be any evidence to support this. What gives, guys? Are we all turning into downvoting, no reddiquette having assholes, or are we being swarmed by the forces of evil?

edit: I stuck this in the wrong spot. Sorry all for the spam! It is sort of funny that I ask about downvoted comments, and it gets downvoted. ^^
