Dear Montreal motorists,
r/bicycling is full of horror stories: cyclists enduring appalling mistreatment from drivers, ranging from verbal abuse to being hit by projectiles to the odd article about deliberate vehicular homicide.
In my years of commuting to and from downtown on two wheels, sure, I've been cut off a few times, but all in all you guys are pretty cool and careful around me. Hell, to be honest, I've occasionally (only occasionally!) pulled some boneheaded moves that could've put me in the hospital if a driver hadn't been attentive.
So thanks, you guys. Here's to respect and peaceful coexistence.
