Why can't Chrome or Safari come up with a suitable substitute for Firebug so I can rid myself of this festering pile of Firefox?!

On a mac, Firefox is unstable as hell, but I have to use it b/c the almighty Firebug only works on this shitty platform. Safari and Chrome have the "Inspect Element" dev thing, but it can't hold a candle to Firebug's ability to live edit any and every resource on the page. I've tested live CSS editors on Chrome, but they're not worth the saliva to spit on them. Am I doomed to use Firefox forever?!
