Why does Reddit take so long to load? I mean seriously. Compared to other websites it loads agonizingly slow.

Load Times

www.yahoo.com 3 Seconds

www.google.com 1 second

www.apple.com 4 seconds

www.craigslist.com 3 seconds

WWW.REDDIT.COM 9 SECONDS! This is so slow, especially when I don't feel like using tabs and I go back and forth between posts and the homepage. I live in suburban Illinois.
