Results of interviews, and a request for user input.

Ok, so basically a few days ago I spent about 3 hours getting interviews from people who were on the mumble channel. I'm going to post the results of the interviews below. The questions asked were

  1. Shall we do a revote for who the head admins are on the basis that a) the majority of the players that play now had no say on who the head admins were and b) the previous vote was poorly advertised and hadn't had enough time to run its course

  2. Shall we implement a periodic revoting system every 1, 2 or 3 months so that the head admins are not static and have to be revoted back into position every x months on the basis that head admins can cease acting for the good of the server, and they can become inactive?

  3. Shall the community decide on the cuboid usage policy, rather than the administration because the main reasons the administration gave for their cuboid usage policy was "what the community would want", and they hadn't asked for any community input on the matter?

  4. Shall all mods have the same powers as admins (ie access to /modify, cuboid, etc), and the head admins only being above regular admins in their ability to dictate policy (a good solution was suggested by Alma for this- There being 3 types of users, "regular users", "probation admins" (the current mods) and "admins". More info on that will be below.

I also asked participants for their opinions on how the server was being run, and for any additional suggestions they had for the server.

Anybody is welcome to give their views on this thread, and I'd appreciate answering of the questions to get a better view of the community consensus.

The current consensus as of only the interviews was that we should do a revote now, and implement periodic revoting, that the community should decide the policy for cuboid usage, and the response to admins and mods having equal rights was rather mixed.

In another post, after I've gotten everybody who participated's permission, I'll post my notes from the interviews.
