Where to start with Vonnegut?
Hey r/lit, what book by Kurt Vonnegut would you recommend to someone (me) who has never read any of his works, but wants to know where to start?
UPDATE: Last Saturday I stopped by my local book resale shop and picked up Sirens of Titan, Cat's Cradle, and Player Piano. Halfway through Sirens of Titan right now; absolutely loving it. It reminds me a little of the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy books (for some reason I read the narrator in David Attenborough's voice which may be encouraging that comparison), but it's obviously much darker with both it's humor and themes than Hitchhiker's Guide. Thanks for the suggestions everybody!
Sidenote: Please support your local book resale shops. I bought those three books plus book four of the Tales of the Alvinmaker series for only $20. In my opinion one of the best ways you can spend $20. I'm sure if I went to a major chain bookstore I would have spent upwards of $40.
