Anonymous armed black metallers of Shreddit, did it take you a while to 'get' black metal?

I won't lie, I kind of hated it until I first heard Belus; late adopter, I know.

A friend had shown me some Marduk and Varg's Filosofem back in the day, but I just couldn't see past the awful production. Nowadays I can't get enough of that screechy atmosphere.

If you get the anonymous armed black metaller reference, you win the internet for a whole day.
