I think I took a different approach to building my city
I wanted to post some screenshots of my city, because I'm pretty happy with the way it's turning out. I've been playing for about a month, not cheating even a little bit. I have a long way to go and a lot of plans, but I'm finally starting to be proud of my work.

I think I've taken a pretty unique approach. I've tried to have the architecture evolve along a sort of historical path. So the earliest buildings were very primitive, then medieval. As the city grew safer, the buildings became less fortress-like and more modern.
There are several small buildings in the old city each with a different purpose, like a butcher's, stone mason's, blacksmith's, etc. So for a while I was running from building to building to get anything done, but now there's a consolidated factory in the new city. I've found that with the new spawn rate, the modern city isn't so safe anymore, so I'm kind of missing the old walls.
Anyway, I know it's not the prettiest city, but it's sort of an experiment and I've had fun doing it.
