My Internet Connection is Cutting out and it's cutting into my DotA time.

Im on a macbookpro, snow leopard. I have to run this cisco client because i am on on-campus housing. I am connecte through an ethernet cable.(its new) i run flux, caffiene, vmware start button in the top right of my comuter. It seems to do it more often at night and at the begining of the hour. But today its happened three times in a row while i first blooded dazzle and i was really enjoying being storm. Im close to crying and i hurt my hand punching my desk. ANY ideas?

edit: DotA is a mod map for warcraft 3. but internet cuts out all the time regardless of dota playing.
