Prop 19 wasn't about legally smoking weed in California. It still won.

Anyone who wants to smoke weed in california can easily do so with a doctors note. Prop 19 was about political change, not legal marijuana. 46% isn't something to balk at. It brought social change even though it didn't pass. I heard lots of people talking about how surprised they were that it was so close (your average coworker, not an ent). Change is coming. Prop 19 has already won.

Marijuana prohibition to our children will look like alcohol prohibition to us.
